Playgroup

WHAT IS PLAYGROUP ?

Playgroup is a place where children (0-5years) can play and interact with other children in a stimulating and enriching environment. It's also a place where mums/guardians can meet regularly with each other and increase their own understanding of their children and their needs. Since we are affiliated with a Christian Church, Playgroup also aims to give both children and mums/guardians exposure to Christian teaching virtues.

WHAT WE DO ?

At playgroup plenty of free time to play is provided so that the children have an opportunity to explore their own interests and develop friendships with other children. The outdoor play area includes a sandpit, cubby house and climbing gym. Indoors there are plenty of toys, playdoh and craft materials. A portion of playgroup time each week includes a structured program. Involving story time, action songs, a craft activity and musical instruments. Everyone is encouraged to get involved. One of the highlights of our time together is morning tea time. This is a chance for "grown ups" to enjoy a relaxed conversation over a cuppa.

WHO RUNS IT ?

Three mums from CBC coordinate the playgroup program. We encourage all parents/guardians to get involved with the children's activities, play time and morning tea.

WHEN & WHERE DO WE MEET ?

We get together each Tuesday 10:00am - 12:00pm during school terms in the St David's Church hall. Lower ground level Pitt-owen Ave.

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING ?

Yourself, your children and their morning tea. Everything else is provided.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST ?

$20 per term or $2.50 per week (per family). First week is free!

All funds collected are reinvested into the playgroup program (craft materials, toys, morning tea supplies etc)

SO WHAT NOW ?

We look forward to meeting you.
